September Swinging Sounds of Jazz Series

In September, the Southampton Cultural Center transforms Southampton into jazz central with their "September Swinging Sounds of Jazz Series". Through out the series, various genres within the jazz idiom will grace the stage of the Levitas Center for the Arts via world class performances by such artists as songstress Gail Storm, piano rising star Sean Fitzpatrick, smooth jazz guitarist Matt Marshak, and others. Come and be a part of the transformation!

Today's performance features Ahmad Ali
Style: Funk and Soul infused Jazz

Raised in a diverse community on Long Island, N.Y. Ahmad was exposed to a wide variety of Soul and Jazz at home. Ali worked with soul sensation Soul 4 Real during their tour of London, Amsterdam, Bulawayo and Harare in Zimbabwe. His love for Radio and community activism comes to fruition in his work at WBAI 99.5 FM in NY and streaming at WBAI .org were he Co Hosts The show “In The Moment” Friday mornings 3:30am-6am.
