September Swinging Sounds of Jazz Series

In September, the Southampton Cultural Center transforms Southampton into jazz central with their "September Swinging Sounds of Jazz Series". Through out the series, various genres within the jazz idiom will grace the stage of the Levitas Center for the Arts via world class performances by such artists as songstress Gail Storm, piano rising star Sean Fitzpatrick, smooth jazz guitarist Matt Marshak, and others. Come and be a part of the transformation!

Tonight's performance features the Al Quinn Quintet
Style:Acoustic Jazz featuring a mix of originals and standards

Al Quinn is a native New Yorker, born on September 11, 1958. He studied jazz piano with Bill O'Connell and is a graduate of the Aaron Copland School of Music at Queens College. In the mid-90’s he toured Japan with The Yoshio Aomori Quartet. The tour culminated with a night at the Tokyo Blue Note which was well received by the sold out audience.
