SOUTHAMPTON ARTS FESTIVAL
Extraordinary musicians and young students making music and art in the heart of Southampton

A program that combines musical performances by world-class musicians with an extensive learning program.

The festival is characterized by three components:

1. Chamber Music concerts by some of today’s leading musicians - International Chamber Soloists will serve as a chamber orchestra in residence.
2. A high-school to college level program for young professional musicians. Winners of international competitions will be participating.
3. A multidisciplinary music and art program for children age 6-18. The children's program will include instruction in piano, violin, cello and guitar, multidisciplinary creative children workshops, musical theater workshop, introduction to art and photography workshop.

While these three components may function independently, it is our goal to unite them, thus creating a unique Music and Art experience for everyone.

The children program is designed to help students to better understand and relate to the world of the Arts by being immersed in the atmosphere of the festival. In addition to individual instructions, well-known musicians and professional students will interact with children during multimedia creative workshops to inspire their curiosity for the Arts.

The founders of The Southampton Arts Festival are two internationally acclaimed musicians: Dmitri Berlinsky, winner of Montreal, Paganini, Tchaikovsky Queen Elizabeth and Young Concert Artist International competitions, and Elena Baksht, published poet, winner of Artist International Competition, and Dreskin foundation grant recipient.
