Center Stage at Southampton Cultural Center to Hold Open Auditions for Long Island Premiere of Cole Porter’s Fifty Million Frenchmen
Center Stage at the Southampton Cultural Center will hold open auditions for 8 staged concert performances of Cole Porter’s Fifty Million Frenchmen on Monday\, September 13 at 6\:00 PM in Southampton Cultural Center's Levitas Center. Auditions begin promptly at these times. Late arrivals will be seen at the discretion of the director(s).
Performances will begin on October 14\, 2010 and run through October 24\, 2010.
Lee Davis directs and narrates\, Michael Disher choreographs and Robert Peterson musically directs.

The focus of the exhibition is \\"light\\" and it's seasonal effect on the East End Landscape\, specifically Autumn\, and how this is given visual expression by four artists of the region. While the artists may begin with on-sight sketches\, none is a definitive plein aire painter. Each artist refers to color\, light\, and essential form\, with the combined dynamic of observed nature and imagination\, giving rise to an individual\, personal artistic statement.
For Priscilla Bowden\, a graduate of the Art Students League of New York\, inspiration began while living in the south of France\, whose light is often compared with that of the East End of Long Island\, and for over 40 years her paintings have paid homage to the American landscape.

Marshak’s ever-growing recognition led the influential CD 101.9 radio station in New York to name him one of the best new smooth-jazz artists.

Style\: Diana Krall style Jazz with a Blues Tinge
Gail Storm is a pianist and vocalist from New York who specializes in classic blues/jazz. Though Gail draws her musical influences from traditionally-based performers such as Bessie Smith\, Ella Fitzgerald\, and Louis Jordan\, many of her fans compare her to modern day performers such as Diana Krall and Marcia Ball.
