Aspiring fine art photographer Kaitlyn Ferris of Riverhead, the winner of Best In Show at the 2010 Student Artist Invitational will show her work in a one-person show exclusively from Saturday May 1st- Sunday May 16th, at The Levitas Center For The Arts at the Southampton Cultural Center on Pond Lane opposite Agawam Park in Southampton Village. Opening Reception Saturday, May 1st, 3-5, Public welcome. Gallery open hours: Weekdays 12-4; Weekends 12-6.For more information call 283-6419. This beautiful art space is open to all, and is handicapped accessible. 18- year- old Kaitlyn will attend college at FIT in fall of 2010. Her work is visible at: www.kaitlynferris.com. She won the access to exhibit her work and the first prize in the Student Artist Invitational back in January, winning best in show over 125 entries from 9 schools. A benefit concert for the Southampton Cultural Center Chamber Music Series will take place on May 2, 2010 at 4:00pm featuring Philip Setzer of the Emerson String Quartet. Mr. Setzer will join members of the Southampton Cultural Center Chamber Players in a concert featuring the iconic Dvorak piano quintet. Come hear an afternoon of beautiful music performed by a nine-time Grammy winning artist and meet all the players after the concert at a champagne reception.
