Aspiring fine art photographer Kaitlyn Ferris of Riverhead, the winner of Best In Show at the 2010 Student Artist Invitational will show her work in a one-person show exclusively from Saturday May 1st- Sunday May 16th, at The Levitas Center For The Arts at the Southampton Cultural Center on Pond Lane opposite Agawam Park in Southampton Village.

Opening Reception Saturday, May 1st, 3-5, Public welcome. Gallery open hours: Weekdays 12-4; Weekends 12-6.For more information call 283-6419. This beautiful art space is open to all, and is handicapped accessible.

18- year- old Kaitlyn will attend college at FIT in fall of 2010. Her work is visible at: www.kaitlynferris.com. She won the access to exhibit her work and the first prize in the Student Artist Invitational back in January, winning best in show over 125 entries from 9 schools. She hopes to use this opportunity to allow a closer look into her imagination, with the ability of getting her name out there!

Tanya Gabrielian’s international successes include first prizes in both the 2004 Scottish International Piano Competition and the 2003 Aram Khachaturyan International Piano Competition. She has performed in renowned concert halls throughout North America, Europe, and Asia and was featured on the cover of the November 2007 issue of the magazine Clavier. In 2008, Ms. Gabrielian was chosen as the winner of the Pro Musicis International Award and a participant in the Hampton’s Pianofest.

Ms. Gabrielian has performed all over the world. Her Southbank debut recital in the Purcell Room in London was chosen as one of the “Performances of the Year 2006” by Seen and Heard International.
