This special event is a night of inspiration designed to inspire and motivate our youth to greatness. The night will honor those who have already given to the cause and those who have blazed trails. The highlight of the evening will be one of Southampton’s own brought in from Detroit, MI. The night will culminate in a celebration for our youth.
Organized by Natasha Jeffries, teacher assistant for the Southampton School district, mother of 3.

Award winning jazz saxophonist and Tierra Records recording artist Shenole Latimer takes his audience on a multimedia tour of the history of jazz from the early 1900's to today. Along the way, a number of jazz artists and their struggles are explored, including Louis Armstrong, Miles Davis, Charlie Parker, and John Coltrane. An emphasis is placed on visiting the African American roots of jazz, how jazz reflected the cultural phases that African Americans were experiencing through out the decades of the 20th century, and the cultural and sociological impact that jazz made in the United States and even the world. Learn why jazz has been called, "America's Classical Music".

In a two-lecture series, Prentiss Dunn, Music Professor at Webster University, Vienna, Austria and frequent guest lecturer in the Hamptons, explores the evolution of Giuseppe Verdi's dramatic and musical genius in two sublime but very different works.
Using Franco Zeffirelli's highly-acclaimed film versions of both "La Traviata" and "Othello' and his own analytic and pianistic skills, Mr Dunn leads us in an entertaining and informative exploration into the mind and methods of one of operas greatest creators.

The Complete Brahms Sonatas for Violin and Piano
Marc Levine, violin and Ling-Ju Lai, piano present the complete sonatas for Violin and Piano by Johannes Brahms. Written later in his life, these three sonatas exemplify Brahms mastery of romantic lyricism. This concert promises a lush afternoon of beautiful melodies and exciting virtuosity from these young dynamic musicians.
